How do you schedule an Instagram carousel in advance?
Upload the images to the planner, select them and group them into a carousel. Folders are faster: if the images of a carousel sit in one folder, drop the folder in and answer the question with yes. In the preview you flip through the images the way they will appear in the feed.
Then you write the caption yourself or let BestPost write it from the images, pick the platforms and set the time. The carousel shows up in the calendar like any other post and can be moved.
Which formats work, and how many images?
You can crop to original, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9. A carousel uses one format for all images: the first image sets the frame, and in the others you move and zoom the visible part. What the preview shows is what gets posted. Images that are already built in the right format stay uncropped with “original”.
How many images fit depends on the platform. If a carousel has more images than Instagram or TikTok accept, BestPost switches that platform off for this post and tells you how many images are too many. On X the first four images go out, and you see that before you post.

Can I edit images before they go out?
Yes. The image editor comes with ten filters and sliders for brightness, contrast, saturation and warmth. You edit each image on its own, inside a carousel too, and see the result in the preview afterwards.
You can take single images out of a carousel, add more or dissolve it completely. PNG, WEBP and HEIC upload just like JPG: BestPost converts them so every platform accepts them.

Can I upload many carousels at once?

Can I mix videos and images in one carousel?
No. A carousel in BestPost is made of images. Videos are scheduled as their own posts, in the same planner and the same calendar.
